O God,
As a creature, it feels this way:
In the beginning when all was new,
It's as though you made it.......
Then went away........
And as You went You were heard to say,
"I'll come back some day."

Its as though You said to us,
"There you are, it's all done.
Do with it what you can!"

Now it's plain for all to see.....?
We've mucked it up completely.
And there's only one thing left to do.
And that's for You, to make all things new.

Question is, dear God, "When will You?"

Now, of course, we know, You didn't really go away.
It only seems that way. (Acts 17:28)

Your prophet Isaiah heard You say,
"I am going to create new heavens and new earth,
the past will come no more to mind.
Be joyful and forever glad.
I am creating Jerusalem to be 'Joy'
And My people to be 'Gladness',
No more the sound of weeping." (Isaiah 65:17-19)

And Jesus said to the twelve who followed Him,
"When everything is made new again,
And the Son of man is seated on His throne of glory,
You yourselves will sit on twelve thrones..." (Matthew 19:28)

And St John said:
"Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth;
the first heaven and the first earth had disappeared now, and there was no longer any sea.
I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven,
as beautiful as a bride all dressed for her husband."
Then I heard a loud voice call from the throne,
"You see this city? Here God lives among men. He will make His home among them;
they shall be His people, and He will be their God; His Name is God-with-them.
He will wipe all tears from their eyes. There will be no more death, and no more mourning or sadness.
The world of the past has gone." (Apocalypse 21:1-4) "Come, Lord Jesus. Come!"
