O Mary,
Conceived God's Immaculate One (Genesis 3:15)
Created to bear His Only Son. (Luke 1:35; John 1:14; 3:16)
O Mary, from eternity, God's Chosen One. (Isaiah 7:14)
Who could possibly do justice in writing of you?
So pure in heart and every virtue,
Heart soaring to Heaven to bring God to earth
sharing in the wonder of man's re-birth. (John 3:3; 1 Peter 1:23)
That St Paul could now say, for one and all,
"I live, now not I! But, Christ, your Son, lives in me!" (Galatians 2:20 )
Graced now, to live when time is done,
in His sweet eternity. (Mark 12:25; John 17:3)
Mary, made Mother of God's Incarnate Son, (Luke 1:35, 38)
Mary, made Mother of Our Hope, the Holy One. (Acts 4:12)
Who said to John, "Behold your Mother!"
While to You He said, "Behold your son!" (John 19:26,27)
Mary, made Mother of both God and of men,
when your reply to the Angel was your Great Amen!
"Be it done to me according to thy word." (Luke 1:38)
No sweeter response was, or has ever been heard.
Now you, dear Mother of all the living, (The new 'Eve', Genesis 3:20)
lead the choirs of the angels and of men (John 14:6)
in chorus of love and endless thanksgiving
into the sanctuary of Heaven.
Where the children of men shall forever be,
in their Father's own house for eternity; (Apocalypse 21:1-7; 22:1-5)
their place won by the Loving Sacrifice (Apocalypse 5:13, 7:9-17)
of God's, and your, dear Only Son.
Wherein all shall cry out in endless joy,
"O Awesome God, Three in One and One in Three,
Be loved, thanked, adored and praised for all eternity."
The whole Choir of Creation crying out in endless adoration,
"Glory to God in the Highest Heaven forever and ever and ever... Amen."
Mothers, all.
Mary, from you His mother He took human form,
Who gives His own Living Spirit to live in us,
that we might become Christ-bearers,
and as such, His 'mothers', too!
"Whoever does the will of My Father in Heaven
is My brother, My sister and My mother." (Matthew 12:46-50)
