(US Scientists say, "The dream of immortality will remain exactly that - nothing more than fantasy.")

Dear Editor,

In response to the report, 1st November 2017, that a group of US scientists have concluded that immortality is mathematically and scientifically impossible, I would like to offer the following:

Yes, the scientists are right, because there is nothing in the Universe, scientifically, which in itself is immortal. Nothing in the Cosmos is the reason for itself. Every created entity comes into existence and goes out of it. The Universe itself is understood, scientifically, to have had its created beginning at the point of the 'Big Bang'. So, certainly, to seek immortality scientifically within the Universe is an obviously fruitless exercise. But, this does not mean that immortality is unattainable. It simply means we must seek it in another direction. But, where to look? Try logic.

We, ourselves, as created beings, had our beginnings, being generated by our parents who pre-existed us with the shared power to generate us. We, are of the Cosmic Creation. So, the question is: What pre-existed the Creation with all of the necessary generative power and resources present, capable of generating all of the myriad inanimate and animate creatures, (complete with all of their multi-attributes and capacities) which together comprise, and are resident in, and throughout, the whole Cosmic Creation?

The Ultimate Source of the Creation, logically, of its very nature, has to be, Itself, immortal and uncreated. If It had a beginning, 'something' had to necessarily pre-exist It with all of the necessary capacities present to enable 'it' to generate the Creation, so the Origin Source Itself, is Uncreated.

Clearly, 'Existence Itself' is rooted in immortality! Clearly, too, It is possessive of inexplicable Symphonic Intelligence as evidenced in all of Its myriad designs and the functioning operations of all of Its creatures.

Consider the awesomely incredible composite design-workings of our own bodies and their communal creation. So, too, for all of the multifarious animal and plant species coexisting throughout our world - all are the work of the Cosmic Creation's Symphonic Mind-Source.

Clearly, if we want immortality, there is no other place for us to get it but from the Creation's Immortal Uncreated Mind-Source. Historically, 'the Source' has manifested Itself in Its incarnated form of Jesus Christ, Who fulfilled all of the Ancient Hebrew-Jewish prophecies which foretold of His future manifestation. His call to everyone was, and continues to be, "Come to Me for your life," (Matthew 11:28; John 5:40; Apocalypse 22:17) The Scripture tells us, "It is within the Being of the Eternal MInd that we, and the whole Creation, live and move and have our being." (Acts 17:28)

And, so it is, that "He Who manifested Himself; He Who inhabits Eternity", (Isaiah 57:15; Micah 5:2) is He Who has said to all mankind, "Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you." (Jeremiah 1:5) This is He Who alone has come to save us with "an everlasting salvation". (Isaiah 45:17) We are told, "There is no other name given to mankind by Whom we must be saved, (Acts 4:12) that it is He Whom we all must seek, and Whom we all must find, if we are to realise our own immortal, eternal salvation. (Matthew 7:7-8; Luke 11:9-10)

As the Messiah Himself said, "My (immortal) Kingdom is not of this (Cosmic) world." (John 18:36) "Come to me for your immortality," (John 5:40; Apocalypse 22:13-17) in clear confirmation of the findings of the US scientists.

Yours sincerely,

Alan Mitter
