Let a lifetime in this world, say - of a hundred years - be represented by a grain of sand.
Now consider how many grains of sand there are in the whole of our planet-earth-world, or go even further and consider the total number of grains existing throughout the whole of the cosmos and consider how many years they represent.
Next consider yourself as living for all of those years, and when those years come to their end - you find yourself at the beginning of the next such period of years - and so on, and so on, and so on…for all eternity. Eternal life will be - IS, to live in the eternal 'NOW'. Oh, to be in Heaven, for all of us, in those 'endless years'. Consider, if it were to be in Hell!
And so it is, that God has made us 'souls' to live forever - either with Him in His heavenly Kingdom-Home, or in eternal exile for those who reject Him, who close Him out of their lives in this world. "His Eternal Power and Deity is evidenced in all of the creatures He has made, so those who do not believe, are without excuse." (Romans 1:19-20)
This is how important it is for us to seek Him NOW in our present life, for our choice now has 'eternal' consequence. It shall be for us, either Heaven or Hell. As simple as that. Find Him now, and you'll be blown out of your socks at the incredible wonder of Him, and you will be caught up, not being able to properly grasp and express the indescribable wonder of Who and what He is. But, though He is beyond our capacity to properly describe and comprehend the great Mystery of Who and what He is in His Majesty and Grandeur, we know He is inescapably always present, even now, in all that we think say and do, such is the indescribable wonder of Him. "For it is IN Him that we live and move and have our being." (Acts 17:28) "He sees all, and there is nothing hidden from His sight." (Sirach 39:19-20)
Know this, and you will be, as I am, desperately afraid of the possibility of my own missing out on Him, and desperately afraid for all of those who shall, in the end, find themselves, knocking on His door, to no avail. So, seek Him now, that you may live forever in Him and with Him, sustained forever in the wonder of His Paternal Love.
His Scriptures advise: "Delay not to be converted to Him, and defer it not from day to day." (Ecclesiasticus 5:8)
As St Paul also warns us: "Today is the day of salvation!" (2 Corinthians 6:2)
"Those who have not sought after Him, shall inherit His wrath." (Ecclesiasticus 39:28)
"Those who deny Him shall not be His." (Daniel 9:26)
"Watch therefore and be ready, because you know not the hour when the Son of man will come." (Matt.24:44).
Nor do we know when our own appointed time shall be. He seeks the hearts of all who will reach out to Him.
